1. Information We Collect
When you use GetSteamCard, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Email address and password (hashed) for your GetSteamCard account
- Steam Credentials: Steam account username and password, provided voluntarily by you in order to operate the ASF farming service
- Usage Data: Farming session logs, connection timestamps, and time balance records
- Payment Records: Transaction IDs, amounts, and timestamps (see Section 4 for payment data handling)
2. How We Protect Your Steam Credentials
Your Steam passwords are encrypted using AES-256 before storage. The server only holds ciphertext — plaintext passwords are never stored, logged, or accessible to any staff member. Each user's farming instance runs in a fully isolated cloud environment.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely for:
- Operating the cloud farming service (connecting to Steam on your behalf)
- Per-second billing calculation and balance management
- Sending disconnect alerts and service notifications
- Improving service reliability and performance
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.
4. Payment Data Isolation (PCI-DSS)
We never touch or store your full credit card number (CC), security code (CVV), or any raw payment credentials. All sensitive payment transactions are handled directly by PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal) in their own encrypted environment. We only receive transaction confirmation data (transaction ID, amount, status).
5. Cookies
We use cookies solely for session management and authentication. We do not use any third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Payment records are retained for a minimum of 2 years for accounting and dispute resolution purposes.
7. Right to Erasure / Data Deletion (GDPR & CCPA)
You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time. You may delete your Steam instances directly from the console, or contact us to fully close your account. Upon account deletion, we will permanently and irreversibly destroy all stored Steam credential ciphertext and farming session data. No physical backups are retained.
8. International Data Transfers
Our servers are located in cloud infrastructure regions to provide the best farming performance. By using the Service, you consent to your data being processed and stored on servers that may be located outside your country of residence.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the website. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
